We excel at designing, styling, and tailoring costumes for productions set in Medieval, Elizabethan, Georgian, Regency, Victorian, Edwardian, and Colonial periods, as well as eras (1930s-1970s), licensed, fantasy, and sci-fi costumes.

If you're filming in the NY Capital Region, we can provide on-set and in-studio services, including...
- Full Cast Costume Rentals (Daily costume, accessories, and prop rentals, fit based on cast-provided measurements, 10 costume minimum, pick up and delivery fee)
- Full Cast Costume Rentals + In-Studio Fitting and Tailoring (The Costumer provides fit measurements, pick-up and delivery fee, 10 costume minimum)
- Custom Costume Design (The Costume designs and builds on time and material basis)
- Wardrobe Services (Add to costume rental, on-set organization + management of costumes, includes free costume delivery and pickup)
- Makeup Artist Services (On-set, daily rate includes makeup)
- Hair + Wig Styling Services (On-set, daily rate includes wig and hair rental, styling products)
- Prop Master Services (On-set, daily rate for prop rental and staff)
Pro Discount & Referral Program
The Costumer's Performing Arts Industry Professional Program (ProPAI) is a discount program for makeup, special FX, and hair artists.
The ProPAI program offers two core benefits: (1) customer referrals for vetted, credentialed artists; and (2) discounts on makeup, hair, and prosthetics purchases.
To Qualify:
- Professional credentials, e.g. current union card in good standing (798 or 706), current cosmetology/esthetician license
- Professional portfolio and/or website; OR
- 2 Forms of Proof of Work, e.g. paid invoices or call sheets dated within the past 6 months
- Client References
The ProPAI discount is non-transferrable, does not apply to production orders, and may not be combined with other offers or promotions. The Costumer reserves the right to revoke accounts suspected of violating our terms.
Share Your Portfolio
The Costumer collaborates with local and visiting film, television, and theatre producers and directors--many of whom ask for referrals for makeup, effects, and hair artists. We'd love to refer you!
If you're a licensed makeup artist or aesthetician with a current portfolio and impeccable professional references, submit your information. We'll vet it and share it with our customer community.
