Summary:
The classic 1952 non-musical stage play Anastasia is a historical drama exploring the mystery surrounding the last surviving daughter of Czar Nicholas II. Set in 1926 in Berlin, the story follows a former Cossack "prince" turned taxi-driver named Bounine. Seeking to secure a £10 million Romanov trust fund, Bounine and his associates plot a massive financial scam. They plan to groom a destitute, suicidal amnesiac woman they found in an asylum to impersonate the Grand Duchess Anastasia.
