Summary: A meta-theatrical musical comedy that unfolds as a loving parody of a fictional 1920s American musical (The Drowsy Chaperone) told through the lens of an obsessed, middle-aged, asocial musical theater fan. The fictional musical is about the intrigues surrounding an about-to-be-wed oil tycoon and a Broadway starlet.
