Summary:

The Fantasticks is a classic allegorical musical about two neighboring fathers who fake a feud to trick their children into falling in love. Created by Tom Jones (book and lyrics) and Harvey Schmidt, it is set in a timeless, fairytale-like small-town landscape during a vague, nostalgic period, famously opening with the words "Try to remember the kind of September..."
