Summary:

Teenager Ren McCormack and his mother move from Chicago to the small, rigid town of Bomont where they discover that the town has outlawed rock music and public dancing. Finding himself an outsider, Ren befriends the country boy Willard Hewitt and catches the eye of the Reverend’s rebellious daughter, Ariel.
