Summary: Lorelei Lee, a sharp-witted blonde showgirl boards a ship to Europe with her cynical brunette best friend, Dorothy Shaw.  Lorelei is sponsored by her wealthy "sugar daddy," Gus Esmond, but she is always on the lookout to secure her financial future with expensive gifts like diamonds.  Once abroad the ship and in Paris, the women get tangled up with various wealthy millionaires, high society figures, and romantic mix-ups.
