Setting: North Shore High School in suburban Illinois

Summary:  Cady Heron moves from the African savanna to suburban Illinois. Having been homeschooled her entire life, she is a fish out of water, but befriends local art-freaks Janis Sarkisian and Damian Hubbard, who show her the ropes of high school.  Janis convinces Cady to infiltrate the school's elite, ruthless clique—known as "The Plastics" and led by queen bee Regina George, in order to destroy her reign of terror.
