Summary:  Tony, a middle-aged, lonely Italian-American vineyard owner, falls for Rosabella, a young waitress in San Francisco, and leaves her a note.  She responds and they start a mail order love affair, but fearing rejection due to his age and looks, Tony gives her a photograph of his handsome young foreman, Joe.  After several weeks, they agree to get married, but when Rosabella arrives in Napa Valley, she discovers the deception. On his way to meet her, Tony crashes his truck and is severely injured.  Distraught and confused, Rosabella turns briefly to Joe. However, as she nurses Tony through his long recovery, true love and deep emotional bonding blossom between them.
