Summary: Newlyweds Mollie and Giles Ralston open Monkswell Manor as a guesthouse. A severe snowstorm strikes, trapping them and their first five eclectic guests inside.  Radio news reports a brutal murder of a woman named Maureen Lyon in London, and when a clue points to Monkswell Manor, Sergeant Trotter arrives to investigate, believing that one of the guests is the murderer.
