Summary:  When powerful newspaper publisher Joseph Pulitzer raises the price the boys pay for the papers, Jack and his friends decide to form a union and strike. Supported by an ambitious young female reporter named Katherine Plummer, the boys shut down distribution, turning their initial protest into a city-wide movement and proving that the youth of New York have power when they stand united.
