The Unsinkable Molly Brown: A musical from the 1960's with music and lyrics by Meredith Willson and book by Richard Morris. This show plot is a fictionalized account of the life of Margaret Brown and her husband a wealthy miner. The story follows Margaret "Molly" Brown from her early life as a poor, undereducated mountain girl that leaves her cabin in search of respect, a wealthy husband, and a better life. The play starts showing her early life as a tomboy at home with her three younger brothers and her father, who she reveals her aspirations to leave the mountain cabin in search of education and a rich husband in the song "I Ain't Down Yet". She makes the transition by leaving and heading to Leadville, Colorado where she meets J.J. "Leadville" Johnny Brown, who falls head-over-heels in love with her and promises to give her everything she desires in "I'll Never Say No". They go on to marry, and Johnny does all he can to give her everything she asks, but it always seems to backfire first with the society people of Denver, then with the royalty of Europe. Johnny decides to leave her in Europe and heads back to Leadville alone, after Which Molly comes to the realization that Johnny what her true love and heads home to him on the RMS Titanic ("Dolce Far Niente"). The Titanic sinks and the tragedy unfold, Molly survives the catastrophe by escaping to one of the life boats to make it safely back to Johnny who has built her a "castle", a home with him in the Rocky Mountains.
