Setting: Columbia Inn in fictional Pine Tree, Vermont

Summary:  Bob Wallace and Phil Davis are a famous song-and-dance duo who meet a sister act, Betty and Judy Haynes.  The men follow the sisters to a Christmas gig in Vermont, which happens to be owned by their former WWII commander, General Waverly.  When Bob and Phil find out the general is facing financial ruin because there is no snow to attract holiday guests, they secretly bring their entire cast and army division to the inn to stage a massive holiday telethon/musical revue to save the holiday season, finding true love in the meantime.
