Female 1840’s Wig
The female 1840’s wig is a mid-length female wig with loose curls on both the side and back of the wig and a crimp prior to the start of the curls. Available in a wide range of colors including black, blonde, browns, and reds.
While this style was most popular during the 1840’s we have found that it can be used for characters from many different time periods including flappers from the 1920’s when a finger wave wig isn’t long enough, for period pieces such as Little Women. The directors that we work with have also used this wig for Alice in Alice in Wonderland and for the Lady of the Lake in Monty Python’s Spamalot.
Don't forget a wig cap for a more secure fit and a wig stand to help organize your wigs and keep them neat and tidy.
