A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder Rental Costumes: Young Monty Navarro mourns the loss of his dear mother when a strange guest arrives to pay her respects - and ask some pointed questions. She questions Monty’s past, to which he has no real answers to give, and reveals Monty to be part of the D’Ysquith family - in line to be Earl of Highhurst! His mother had run off to marry the love of her life and had been disinherited by her family, leaving her to live in poverty. He rushes off to tell Sibella, the woman he is desperately in love with and who loves his attention. He hopes to win her affection by sharing this new raise in status, but she points out that he only has a claim to a name, no title, no land, no money, no trade. He hatches a plan to become an accepted member of the D’Ysquith family, charming his way in, and along the way, remove those who stand before him in line to Earldom in all manner of creative fashions. Along the way, he meets many members of the D’Ysquith family including the charitable Lady Hyacinth, the nervous Reverend Lord Ezekial, bodybuilder Lord Bartholomew, actress Lady Salome-Pumphrey, the effeminate Henry, the dutiful Asquith Sr., the elitist Asquith Jr., and the eccentric Lord Adalbert D’Ysquith, Eighth Earl of Highhurst (who are all played by the same actor). As he charms his way into the family he meets the lovely and kind Phoebe D’Ysquith, a cousin, who takes his fancy and, luckily, is not in line to become Earl. A love triangle, murder, drama, and hilarity ensue on this musical romp! How many D’Ysquiths will die? Will Monty be caught? Will he become Earl? Will he find love?
