Ah, Wilderness
Ah, Wilderness: On the Fourth of July, 1906, seventeen year old Richard Miller, an avid reader and self-proclaimed poet, starts his adulthood when his neighbor McComber forbids Richard from having a relationship with his daughter Muriel. Devastated and gullible, Richard unwittingly accompanies Wint Selby, his brother's college buddy, to a whorehouse. As the Miller family debates how to punish Richard, he receives a letter from Muriel. Eugene O'Neill's comedy, named from Quatrain XI of The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, has been adapted into two films as well as the 1959 musical Take Me Along.
