The Browning Version
The Browning Version: by Terence Rattigan. It's the last few days of Andrew Crocker-Harris's career as a British public school teacher. His love of literature collides with his feeling of being obsolete as he finds out what his students really think of him. Continuing his emotional battle, we learn of his cheating wife Millie, his successor Mr. Gilbert and the relationship between teacher and student that can change a man forever. Later made into films and made-for-television versions, the stage version is often set in the late 1940's.
