The eccentric inventor Caractacus Potts restores an old race car, which is lovingly called Chitty Chitty Bang Bang because of the sound it makes. Caractacus, his two children, and the beautiful Truly Scrumptious soon discover Chitty has magical properties as it floats and flies. Trouble arises when the villainous Baron Bombast wants the car for himself. His evil cronies mistake batty Grandpa Potts as the inventor and kidnap him to the faraway country of Vulgaria. With Chitty’s help, Caractacus, Truly, and the children fly to the rescue!
