Richard III

Richard III: Believed to have been written in approximately 1591, this historical play depicts the reign of King Richard III of England. Beginning with Richard as the Duke of Gloucester under King Edward IV, the play follows his schemes and ascension to power until he is finally defeated by Henry Tudor, Earl of Richmond (Later King Henry VII). A classic Shakespearean play that puts his own spin on a historical story, turning Richard III into a tragic anti-hero. Written by William Shakespeare.
