The Merry Widow

The Merry Widow: Set in turn-of-the-century Paris, Baron Zeta of Pontevedro gives a ball at the Pontevedrian embassy in hopes to raise money for his country. The guest of honor is Hanna Glawari, a wealthy Pontevedrian widow. Zeta urges the embassy secretary, Danilow, to propose to her to keep her money in the homeland. However, Hanna’s multitude of Parisian suitors and unexpected plot twists keep Zeta’s plan from going as
smoothly as he planned.
